Patience is Key in Good Design

It is better to have nothing if you can’t have the right thing.  This is a design philosophy that I live by and encourage all my clients to do the same.

It is wasteful to purchase something for short term use and will end up costing you more in the long run to replace an inferior quality item than to get the best from the start.  So, begin with a grand plan for your space.  Sketch a layout and gather images of items and rooms that appeal.  Then have patience as you fill the voids and furnish your home over time.

And because collected style is in constant evolution, one is never truly finished.  It becomes a joy, a find, a process to be relished, not an event to begrudge.  Have company.  Let them experience the before, during and after.  Show off the new pieces and talk about what is yet to come.

And with pieces that are as versatile as they are beautiful, the home will come together effortlessly (or at least look that way) and be furnished to serve the way you live.  We at Oak Hill are grateful to be a part of your journey, and we (and our furnishings) look forward to serving you.
